Diagnosis: I have had a grade 3 Anaplastic Astrocytoma in the left parietal lobe of my brain, discovered after a seizure in December 2004. In November 2009, doctors found a new tumor, a grade 4 Glioblastoma, the most aggressive form.
Treatment Summary: My tumor is inoperable. I've had some successful treatments and some not so successful treatments. I'm writing this on March 5th, 2011, and currently on my 9th different treatment. Currently, I go to MD Anderson in Orlando for two different brain cancer medicines (Avastin and BCNU). I will find out on Friday, March 18 if this therapy is effective.
